Theresa Batbold
Theresa is Yogalife's studio manager. She holds program integration for the 200-hour teacher training.
I first found yoga in 2016, and for a few years I practiced on and off, never fully committing. Then life shifted in ways that had me questioning the very foundations of who I was, and I returned to my mat with a new sense of devotion.
Living in the modern world with an anxious mind and a restless body, I searched for something that could quiet the noise. Yoga was the only practice that invited me to dip deep into my inner landscape and truly meet myself there. To this day, yoga is the practice that invites me to come home to myself.
I completed my 200-hour training with Yogalife in 2025 and have been teaching ever since. My classes are rooted in whole-body health, weaving together functional movement, somatic practice, and traditional teachings. I believe my role as a teacher is to create a space where, if someone needs to come up for air, they can.
I’m endlessly inspired by the people around me: my students, fellow teachers, and the strangers I meet along the way. In class, I bring curiosity, playfulness, and ease, while honouring the foundations of strength-based movement and flow.
What I'd tell someone nervous about their first class
If you're unsure about your first class, know that it's okay to try something new, and it's okay not to be good at it right away. Yoga asks us to release the expectation of being good. It simply isn't relevant here. Just come. Just be.
The class I could teach forever, and why
I could teach vinyasa forever. The flow keeps me anchored in my breath and body, leaving little room for mental chatter.
Off the mat
Off the mat, you'll find me knitting, reading, hiking, or cuddling my kitty.
