Sheila Shorten
Sheila blends mindful movement, strength, flexibility, and relaxation into classes that leave room to breathe. She works in healthcare outside the studio, and teaches with a steady reminder to listen to your body and move in the way that feels right for you.
Sheila teaches from the belief that yoga is more than movement — that it makes space to breathe, reconnect, and feel at home in your own body. Her classes blend mindful movement, strength, flexibility, and relaxation, and they are built to work whether it is your first time on a mat or you have had a practice for years. The invitation is the same either way: listen to your body, and move in the way that feels right for you that day.
Outside the studio Sheila works in healthcare, and that work shapes how she teaches — she pays attention to how the physical, mental, and emotional sides of a person move together. Her own experience has built a belief in resilience, gratitude, and slowing down enough to be present. Students describe her classes as calming and uplifting. What she is after is simple: that you leave feeling stronger, more balanced, and more connected than when you walked in.
