Book Your 60-Minute Teaching Practicum
Congratulations on reaching the practicum stage of your YTT! This is your opportunity to teach a full 60-minute class as part of your certification requirements.
Booking window: Please book your practicum between June 8 – 26.
What to know before you book:
Location: All practicums take place at our 124 Street studio.
Duration: 60 minutes of teaching time.
Facilitator: Each practicum slot is paired with one of our lead facilitators — Kelsey or Melissa — who will be present to observe, support, and provide feedback. The available facilitator is assigned automatically based on the time slot you choose, so simply pick the day and time that works best for you.
Arrival: Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early so you have time to set up the room, test music/audio, and settle in before you begin.
How to book:
Use the Momence scheduler below to view available dates and times within the booking window.
Select a time that works for your schedule and click to book — you'll see which facilitator (Kelsey or Melissa) is assigned to that slot once selected.
You'll receive a confirmation email from Momence with your booking details. Please add it to your calendar right away.
After you book — invite your people! Once your practicum is scheduled, Caren will set up a private class on the schedule for your time slot so you can invite your friends and family to come support you. Having extra bodies in the room gives you real students to teach to, cue, and connect with — and it tends to make the whole experience more fun and memorable. We highly encourage you to invite a few people! The sooner you book, the more notice you can give your guests.
How your guests will sign up: Once your private class is set up, Caren will post the booking link in our Discord so you can grab it and share it with your friends and family. They'll use that link to register for your class. Your YTT classmates are also welcome (and encouraged!) to join in on each other's practicums — it's a great way to support one another, get more reps practicing as students, and experience a variety of teaching styles. Keep an eye on Discord for everyone's links!
Need to reschedule or can't find a time? If none of the available slots work for you, or you need to change your booking, please email Caren directly and she'll help coordinate a time that works.
What to bring / prepare:
Your full class plan and any notes you'd like to reference
A playlist (if you're using music) loaded and ready to go
Anything else your teaching style calls for — props, sequencing cards, etc.
We can't wait to see you teach!
