Junk Miles Run Club × Yogalife Studios: Run, Recover, Restore A Fundraising Event for Ever Active Schools
Join us for a morning of movement and wellness as Junk Miles Run Club partners with Yogalife Studios for a unique fundraising event designed to enhance your running practice and overall well-being.
Net proceeds from this event will support Ever Active Schools in their mission to create healthy school communities across Alberta.
Start your Saturday with an invigorating group run loop departing from Yogalife Studios on 124 Street at 9:30am. Whether you're logging easy miles or looking to connect with fellow runners, this social run welcomes all paces and distances.
Following the run, Rebecca Lee will guide you through a specialized yoga session at 10:30am focused on run recovery. This thoughtfully sequenced class targets common areas of tightness in runners, promoting flexibility, mobility, and injury prevention through gentle stretches and restorative poses.
Cap off your morning at 11:30am with an informative talk by Dominique Paradis, Naturopath Doctor from Flow YEG. Learn evidence-based strategies for optimizing your recovery, nutrition tips for runners, and holistic approaches to supporting your athletic performance and overall health.
This event offers the perfect blend of community, movement, and education while supporting a great cause. Come for the run, stay for the recovery, and leave with practical knowledge to elevate your wellness journey – all while contributing to healthier, more active schools in our community.
All levels welcome – from seasoned marathoners to those just beginning their running journey. Space is limited. Registration includes all three sessions.
Bring your running gear, yoga mat, and an open mind. Light refreshments will be provided.
Your participation helps Ever Active Schools inspire and support healthy, active lifestyles for students throughout Alberta.
