Jess is from Edmonton, AB. She has been devoted to a consistent yoga practice since 2014 after quickly realizing the positive impacts it has on her physical & mental wellbeing along with her hockey performance. As she continued with her hockey career, yoga became a safe place and a great form of recovery for her. Jess fell in love with all different styles of yoga and after 9 years of a consistent practice she decided to complete her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. Her training was done in 2022 with Yandara Yoga in Baja, Mexico. It was an experience that changed her life, returning home inspired and renewed and excited to share her learnings with others.

She currently practices many different styles of yoga that are all empowering and humbling, and it impacts how she chooses to teach her own classes. Jess offers a variety of class styles such as hatha or vinyasa that blends together breath, postures, and some laughter. As a professional athlete, Jess has great insight into the challenges of high impact exercise and how it can impact the body. Jess strongly encourages her students to listen, honor and move their body in a way that feels best for them. Her goal is to help students enjoy the journey and accept that not every day is the same; to find the lightness in their practice, and never compare themselves to others.

In her free time, Jess loves training, biking, running, rock climbing and spending time in the mountains; camping or hiking with her family.
